This is a great lock...installed in 30 minutes with no issues. I do have a metal door so as per the instructions, I did add a layer of duct tape to insulate it. Unlocks from the driveway. Works as it should. Better quality than I expected....nice heavy lock and I like the way the bolt almost "snaps" open and shut. Great price. Buy one.UPDATE: a year later and it still works OK, but it really goes through the batteries... even the best ones. Realized rechargeable battery is no good. Not enough power to push it. Haven't tried Lithium, but the best Alkaline still lasts just over a month. FYII had a different brand of remote lock in the past and it was not as well constructed or as nice looking as this Morning Industry model. The lock installed easily and quickly (just remember if installing on a steel door to put duct tape on the back of the metal bracket on the inside of the door to keep it from touching the door, otherwise there will be interference with the signal). It has a solid feel and works well thus far. The bronze is lighter than my Kwikset knob and I wish this company sold a knob with it in matching finish. Otherwise, it's great!The installation was a breeze and it works as advertised. The Rubbed Bronze finish was an almost exact match to the existing Rubbed Bronze Baldwin hardware and the unit doesn't look cheap on the door. The remote has good range. Only con for me is the remote doesn't appear to be particularly sturdy but time will tell.I’ve had this lock for about 3 months, and already on my third set of fresh batteries. I’ve had other locks in the past which lasted about a year on one set of batteries (and with more use). Disappointed, because otherwise it’s a great lock.Seemed like a a great idea but didn’t last. Dead bolt mechanism was always a little loose and then finally just broke about three mouths later. Also had to replace three times.The picture does not show that there is a hugh box on the back of the door which in my case makes this product worthless.
